the Kevin Murphy pendant light was born out of the prompt to create a branded light, in a course taught by professor and designer Carly Hagins.
design language important to the haircare brand is a diffused-light, soft-surface appearance, bright, eye-catching colors, beveled angles and cutoffsm and asymmetry.
two designs are shown here -- one symmetric, and with multiple layers, the second asymmetric, with only one. the cylindrical shape rests atop the bulb to support the frame.
